Ansel Adams

             Born in San Fransisco, to almost elderly parents, Ansel Adams had quite a remarkable life. At a young age Adams had troubles fitting in, it didn't help that because of an earthquake he had an oddly distinctive characteristic with his nose. With possible dyslexia and slight diagnosis of being hyperactive, he had troubles focusing, which caused him troubles with success in school. Moved from unsuccessful school to unsuccessful school, his parents finally decided to take him out of public schools and home school him.

             Teaching himself to read and play piano was a huge feat. But teaching himself to play piano well enough to make a career out of it was even better for Adams. Eventually though photography became a primary occupation for Ansel. his first visualized photograph monolith, the Face because  of Half Dome, was created in 1927.

          I chose this picture because, I really liked how the stone bridge was reflected on the water along with the mountain in the back ground. The different contrast of the black and white really bring out the details of the picture.

I like this picture because it really captures what being at the beach in Oregon is like. Cloudy, foggy, chilly.

I found this picture really cool, due too the golden color cast on the hill by the setting/rising sun.

Found Faces Story

                 I would like to introduce you to Penelope. Penelope is an only child and is 13 years old. She lives at home with her mom her dad and her two dogs Hansel and Gretel. Penelope is in the eighth grade at Chamberlain Middle School. Her favorite thing to do is eat, however she is a rather messy eater as you can tell by her face. Her favorite thing to eat is her mom's spaghetti. Penelope has a summer job at a produce stand down the street from her house. Her hobby is maintaining a small garden in her yard. She loves yard work, and keeping the landscape around her house beautiful. At such a young age it would be hard to believe that she can eat like no other. Which is why she started her garden, to grow food that she can eat. She has been in five eating contests in their local county fair and has won three out of five of these contests. Even beating out state champion eaters. As much as she eats you would be surprised to find that she is really small for her age. Her mom Cindy and dad Larry can't believe their daughters horrible eating habits. They often say when she eats, she eats so fast its practically like a vacuum. therefor her nickname; Hoover.
